At the recent Al Downing Honors in July, White was named Jazz Musician of the Year.  This legendary music educator and artist is an accomplished national and international jazz trumpeter, composer and arranger. As ADTBJA Education and Scholarship Chairman, his powerful impact on introducing jazz to children in elementary school program and mentoring young jazz artists is extraordinary. Alvinette and Dwayne talk about personal connections to music and healing, the healing power of jazz music on the brain (and heart), memorable performances and more.
